(and other links of interest) Shops Vampalicious on-line is described as "a vintage clothing, books and comic shop featuring a mixed selection of unique styles, it's a bit Glam-Goth, Burlesque, Horror, Femme Fatale, Vintage, Steampunk, and Rock n Roll." Whitby Jet Jewellery (Simpson's of Whitby) make a variety of jewellery in Whitby Jet and Silver. They are, of course, based in Whitby - you can visit their shop - and they source their jet locally. Black As Jet Jewellery is another on-line jewellery site which specializes in jet as well as amber. They source much of their jet from Whitby although they are based in East Sussex. The Victorian Jet Works in Whitby is an 1897 jet works - a museum still a working craft shop. And this is a little treat: "Edward Gorey's Dracula Toy Theatre" Out and About The London Adventure provides "explorations into hidden literary London" - walks around London with an official guide, most Saturdays. Music Richard Wileman is a composer who spent 2003-2004 working on a musical interpretation of Dracula. Information about this and other projects, and information on how to purchase the CDs, is available at kardaestra.co.uk. A completed track from this album, Lucy - Festina Lente, is available for free download from SoundClick. A review of the completed CD can be read here. Toni Geiling (tonigeiling.com) of Germany sent us the following e-mail with a link to a relevant track from one of his albums - and it is fun! I'm a German Songwriter/Composer and have a new song about Dracula that you are welcome to checkout using the following link - http://www.tonigeiling.de/mp3/Dracula_sample.mp3 It is a funny and acoustic type of a song for (English speaking) vampire fans. If you like it you might want to tell your visitors about it by linking my homepage. Thank you, Toni Geiling. |
