Thanks to Ken for
granting us the right to use this artwork, and for designing it especially for our
Convention.

To commemorate the Dracula Society's 30th anniversary in 2003, our first
weekend Convention was held from Friday 31st October to Sunday 2nd November at The Royal Victoria & Bull Hotel in Rochester, Kent. The weekend began at 8.00pm on Friday evening in the Great Expectations Bar of the Hotel, with a special Hallowe'en
welcome event. Saturday was a full day of talks
with guest speakers, film and video screenings, dramatised stories and a panel
discussion. There were book stalls and other Gothic merchandise on offer
throughout the day. Saturday evening was the Society's grand night of the year, when we celebrated Bram Stoker's birthday (a little early!) with our customary three course Dinner, followed by a Vampire Masked Ball & Disco! Sunday morning's programme included
an Auction, and the presentation of the Society's Awards and other prizes, finishing at around 1pm.
The BBC website conducted interviews with some of the attendees at the
Convention, for inclusion in an interview montage of vampire aficionados.

Dracula Society members! |
